Yesterday, the American Microsoft presented the second generation of its folding phone - Surface Duo 2. What improvements does this phone offer compared to its predecessor, find out below.
The Surface Duo 2 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB of internal storage, respectively. The phone runs Android 11.
The phone has two screens of 5.8 ", and both have AMOLED resolution of 1892 x 1344 pixels. When the phone is opened, its screen size is 8.3 ", with a resolution of 2688 x 1892 pixels, and the maximum screen brightness is 800 nits. The screens are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The screens support a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The screens are slightly curved inwards, so when the device is folded, notifications are visible on that part of the screen.
On the back, the phone has three cameras in combination 12 MP f / 1.7 (main sensor) + 12 MP f / 2.2 (ultra wide sensor) + 12 MP f / 2.4 (telephoto sensor). The phone has the ability to record 4K videos up to 60 frames per second.
The phone has a 4449 mAh battery with support for fast charging of 23 W, but there is no charger in the box with the phone. Surface Duo 2 does not support wireless charging. The phone has a Surface Slim Pen 2 pen that can be magnetically attached to the outside of the device.
The price of the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 starts at 1,500 US dollars, and the phone is already available for pre-orders.
